You've successfully published your first Engage Engine activation. What's next?

Now, let's explore what comes next. From gaining insights into your activation's performance to making necessary adjustments, there are several actions you can take post-publication. This article will provide a comprehensive overview of your options, empowering you to optimize your campaign effectively.

Activation Overview

This section provides a comprehensive overview of your activation's performance, helping you understand its impact and identify areas for improvement.

Key Metrics

The analytics, of course, always comes first. Once you've published your activation, you'll be directed to the Overview page where you'll see the performance summary of your activation, among other things. Here, you'll be given an in-depth view of your activation and how its doing in terms of numbers.

Here are some of the items that you'll be able to view under the performance summary:

  • Link Clicks: Total number of times users clicked any link within the activation (includes repeat clicks). This metric reflects overall user engagement.

  • Unique Entries: Number of unique users who viewed the activation's starting screen. This indicates the reach of your activation.

  • Identified User Rate: Percentage of users who identified themselves (through email or phone) compared to total entries. This shows how many users engaged further.

  • Unique Identified Users: Number of users newly identified through this activation. Useful for understanding user acquisition.

  • Game Participation Rate: Percentage of users who started the game after viewing the start screen. This measures engagement with the interactive element.

  • Game Completion Rate: Percentage of game participants who finished the game. Indicates user persistence and satisfaction with the game.

  • Call to Action (CTA) Rate: Total clicks on any CTA button (text, image, or form), reflecting user action on your desired outcome.

Additional Insights

Apart from that, you'll also be able to view other analytics that will help you further understand your activation and see if there's anything that needs to improved:

  • Origin of Unique Entries: Breakdown of where users accessed the activation (e.g., email, social media). Helps identify the most effective channels.

  • Unique Entries Over Time: Hourly (first 48 hours) and daily (up to 31 days) breakdown of unique entries. Provides insights into user engagement patterns.

  • Data Points Collection Summary: Overview of data points used in the activation (category, field type, views, collection rate).

    • CRM Integration: Quick link to your CRM system (if applicable) for further data analysis.

  • Device Breakdown: Distribution of devices used to view the activation (consider potential limitations in device identification).

Remember: Data analysis is an ongoing process. Regularly review this report to gain valuable insights and continuously improve your activation strategies.

Altering publish links may compromise the integrity of your activation's performance metrics. For reliable data, refrain from editing links.

Activation Results

In addition to analytics, the post-activation interface provides valuable insights into your activation's performance.

Discover detailed information about:

  • Game Flow: Understand how participants interacted with the game.

  • Game Performance: Analyze overall game mechanics and player behavior.

  • Participant Data: Gain valuable first and zero-party data to enhance audience relationships.

These comprehensive results empower you to harness data-driven strategies for future campaigns.

The Game Performance tab also provides each participant's unique Engage Engine ID, assigned to those who share their email or phone number when starting the activation.

Find general activation settings at the bottom of the menu pane, including:

  • Activation Status: Set your activation as active or inactive. Active activations can have an end date scheduled.
