Inactive Activations Messages
Inactive Activation Messages allow you to configure what participants see when they attempt to access an activation that has been set to inactive status. These messages can be customized at both the account level and for individual activations.
Configuration Options
You can configure inactive messages in two different places:
1. Account Settings (Default Messages)
Set your default inactive messages under Account Settings → Inactive Activations. These default settings will apply to all inactive activations unless overridden with activation-specific settings.
2. Individual Activation Settings
Each activation can have its own custom inactive message, which can be configured in the Participation Limit tab when setting up or editing an activation, or in Settings of your activation page.
Customizing Inactive Messages
Inactive Activation Screen for Single Widget
When configuring the inactive screen for a single widget, you can customize:
Image: Choose from several options including:
Use default inactive icon
Use company logo
select from media library or Upload your own
Title: The main message shown to participants (e.g., "This game is no longer available")
Subtitle: Additional information or encouragement (e.g., "But don't worry! There are more games on the way.")
Background Color: Customize the background color of the inactive message screen
Inactive Activation Messages for Conversation
For more complex scenarios, you can create a conversational flow for inactive activations:
Select "Customize your own inactive messages"
Click "Edit Conversation" to open the canvas flow builder
Design a custom conversation flow that will be triggered when participants attempt to access an inactive activation
This feature is especially useful when you want to:
Redirect participants to active experiences
Collect feedback about why they were interested in the inactive content
Provide detailed information about upcoming activations
