Post Publishing

As sports organizations, we’re constantly engaging with fans, whether it’s between halves, between games or even between seasons. Content Engine was developed to you stay top of mind with a streamlined content creation suite that helps you:

  • Craft engaging content effortlessly

  • Boost fan interaction with your team or brand

  • Unify your fanbase around shared experiences

  • Increase your content volume with automated, suggested content.

This article will guide you on how to use the platform to supercharge your content strategy.

Before You Begin

Make sure that:

  1. Your Social Accounts Are Connected: Before publishing, ensure that your social media accounts are linked to Content Engine. Learn how to connect your social accounts here.

  2. You Have the Right User Permissions: Only users with the following roles can publish posts: Admin, Editor, and Editor (Restricted). Learn more about user roles and permissions here.

Creating a Post with Content Engine

Content Engine makes creating captivating content a breeze. Follow these simple steps for crafting posts that generate excitement, from pre-game hype to post-game highlights. This ensures a steady stream of engaging content that keeps your fanbase glued to your channel.

  1. Navigate to the Content Planner page within Engage Engine. Here you’ll see all your social media posts - posted form within Content Engine or natively from the Facebook, Instagram, X, etc., - from social networks that are connected to the platform. You different icons within each post show you which social channel it correlates to and the current stage of a post:

    1. Green checkmark - post has been published

    2. Pencil icon - post is saved as a draft

    3. Clock face - post is scheduled

  2. Click on the “New Post” button in the top right corner of the screen. Then select whether you’d like to create a new post or a new Instagram story. When clicking on new post, a pop up box will appear where you can enter all the information necessary for your post, including:

    1. Linking the post to a campaign. You must select a campaign to continue

    2. Selecting which social network to post from. Note that you can craft posts for several social channels at once, but must adhere to the correct guidelines per channel based on video, image and character limitations.

    3. Add any visuals or copy to each social network. You can upload new content or select from existing content in your Media Library.

    4. Determine if you want to post now, schedule for later, or save as a draft.

    5. Add tags to your post to further categorize each post within the campaign. The tag could be of a player’s name, type of highlight, type or graphic, or any other category necessary.

  3. Once your post has been uploaded, scheduled or saved as a draft, it will appear in the calendar.

Tip: Use the different Content Planner calendar views within Content Engine to get a better look at your daily, weekly, or monthly plans.

Key Features for Managing Your Content

Posting Suggested Content

If you have suggested content enabled by WSC Sports or API graphics integrations, your suggested content will automatically populate the content planner, where you can easily review, edit, and publish it directly within Content Planner effortless.

User Mentions and Tagging

Easily tag other users or accounts in your posts by using "@" followed by the username. For Instagram, ensure you enter the full username correctly to enable proper tagging.

Managing Drafts

Save your posts as drafts to refine them before publishing. Drafts allow you to revisit and edit content before finalizing, ensuring quality and accuracy in your posts.

Content Partner: Collaborate Across Accounts

The Content Partner feature allows sports leagues, teams, and brands to collaborate efficiently by sharing suggested content between accounts. This means leagues can send pre-approved posts to teams, who can review, edit, and publish them directly in their Content Planner.

Managing Scheduled Posts

If you've scheduled posts in advance, you can:

  • Edit scheduled posts before they go live

  • Reschedule a post to a different time or date

  • Cancel or delete a scheduled post before publishing

Duplicating and Reposting Content

Need to reuse a post? Content Engine allows you to duplicate posts for quick repurposing.

  • Easily copy an existing post and tweak the caption, media, or hashtags before publishing again.

  • This is useful for weekly series, recurring announcements, or multi-platform promotions.

Types of Posts Supported

Content Engine supports multiple post types across different social platforms:

  1. Standard Posts – Available for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn.

  2. Stories – Instagram Stories can be published through the platform.

  3. Reels (Short-Form Video Content) – Facebook & Instagram Reels are supported with their specific format and length limitations.

Post Performance Tracking

Once your post is published, track its performance using Content Engine Analytics:

  • Impressions & Reach (How many people saw your post)

  • Engagement Metrics (Likes, shares, comments, clicks)

  • Post Performance Trends (Compare results over time)

This data helps you optimize your content strategy for better engagement.
